Q: What’s a democrat’s favorite vegetable?
A: Barak-oli!

Sam of Handstands Across America has made it to Las Vegas! Seems that places with a “carnival atmosphere” generally do have hotdogs available! I’ve never been to Las Vegas, but I bet (heh heh) it’s pretty overwhelming. It’s nice to see that 99cent hot dogs are available, so you can still get something to eat even if you squander all your big bucks.
(part of the Circus Circus Casino in Las Vegas).
Mmm… that looks good!
Thanks for the photo, Sammy! And win some big bucks!
not only do I not keep up a REAL blog, I didn’t yet wish BU a happy birthday Guys Eating Stuff Style. This may or may not be because I was hanging out with him in real-time, but that doesn’t mean anything in the blogosphere. So here we go– Happy BU-lated BUrthday to you!
Mmmashed potatoes and steak!

Hey Sammy– if you ever have a hankering for delicious stuff (but be ready for indigestion later) you should stop at White Castle. Check out Sam’s posts about his road trip. The food descriptions are appreciated.
I never said I wouldn’t use this blog to brag about stuff we cooked. Here is a shot of BU enjoying the Shrimp Scampi we made. We used this recipe but instead of grilling the shrimp we sauteed it with some veggies.
Action shot: Time for seconds.
We even watched this video to learn how to de-vein shrimp. We did pretty well with our first attempt at shrimp making, but we overly-cautiously over-cooked them a little bit. Translucent is ok. Here’s a close up of the food a-la allrecipes.com:
